Public IP’s Vs. Private IP‘s

Private IP
Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved three IP address space for Private internets for local networks,
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
Also, IP addresses in the range of 169.254.0.0 -169.254.255.255 are reserved for Automatic Private IP Addressing. We cannot use These IP's on Internet.

Public IP

The IP address that your home or business router receives from your ISP is a public IP address. Devices with public IP addresses can communicate with other devices with public IP addresses but not directly with devices with private IP addresses. A router is required for public and private networks to exchange information.
