Service Management

Service Management is a set of specialized organizational capabilities for

providing value to customers in the form of services. It is a set of Functions and

processes to manage services over their day-to-day activities.

Service Provider


An organization provides services to more single or multiple internal or external

recipients or clients.

Process
 

A set of activities designed to achieve a specific Goal.

A process takes specific set of inputs and converts them into desired outputs.

A process consists of roles, responsibilities, tools and management controls required to deliver the outputs

Role 

A set of responsibilities, activities and authorities provided to a person or team

Function

A team is collection of group of people and the set of tools they use to carry out single or multiple processes or activities.
