Attributes can be set using ‘chattr’ command. Currently set attributes can be listed with ‘lsattr’ command.
Not all attributes can be set by normal users. Some attributes are not yet implemented in the standard kernel.
•A - don’t update Access Time
•a - append only attribute
•c - compress attribute
•d - don’t ‘dump’ attribute
•i - immutable attribute
•S - synchronous write attribute
•s - secure deletion attribute
•u - undelete attribute
